What is Analytical Reading?
Analytical reading is the process of breaking down a text or other source of information into its various components in order to gain an understanding of its meaning and purpose. This type of reading requires active engagement with the text, as readers must be able to identify and interpret meaningful elements such as structure, language, tone, and authorial intent. Analytical readers are also expected to evaluate the text's arguments and draw conclusions based on their interpretation.
